Located in southwestern Ontario, at the southern end of Oxford County and about 50 km (31 mi) southeast of London, Tillsonburg offers visitors numerous cultural and recreational opportunities. Annandale House is a national historic site offering visitors the opportunity to walk through a Victorian-style house. The home also serves as a tourist information centre. Another historic site to visit is the Tillsonburg Station Arts Centre. Here visitors can browse through art galleries, take art classes or indulge in some retail therapy at the gift shop. The Centre also encompasses two historic train stations: the Great Western Railway Station and The Tillsonburg Lake Erie and Pacific/C.P. Station. Thespian lovers can catch local theatrical performances put on by Theatre Tillsonburg. In the summertime, the theatre offers a children's summer theatre camp as well as offering workshops throughout the year. Tillsonburg offers family fun at the Lake Lisgar Waterpark. Open during summer, visitors can take advantage of the giant twister waterslide or spend the day swimming. And visitors can't miss the giant electric guitar, a local roadside attraction that once also featured a piano and functioned as an advertisement for a music store.Tourist Attractions
